Aloha! This was one of my last sessions that I was able to be apart of while in Oahu in December. Jackie and Taylor will ACTUALLY be getting married in a couple of weeks, but they wanted to do something a little bit different with their engagement photos. We started out in the jungle, wondering why we had chosen the place, and then BAM, look at those mountains! It was absolutely Earth shattering to me that I could have something like that in the background of my photos. Everything is so flat here in Michigan, except for the sand dunes. Taylor actually ended up hurting his back prior to the session, but was such a good sport for these photos!
Normally I try to stay away from shooting during this time of day (about 2:30 in the afternoon). Obviously though, with weddings I don't always have a choice on when and where. If you're planning on having your photos taken during a high-peak sun-time such as this, check out these photos for a good idea of what they will look like! I love shooting around what us photographers refer to as "golden hour". Golden hour is 1 hour prior to sunset, and 1 hour prior to sunrise. This is why I love to steal couples for more photos later in the evening at weddings!
